Should be in running condition and be livable enough that a non-enthusiast could comfortably drive it. Should fit 2-4 people comfortably. Parts should be cheap. I’d prefer to keep I under 7K 10K max. Should be in the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! area. This is in case the Porsche doesn’t work out. I’d prefer something not rusted to hell. Nothing newer than 2005, SHOULD HAVE A BACK SEAT or at least should’ve had one from the factory...

Aw11? SW30? Fiero? X1/9?

No back seat, that AW11 near me is tempting.

Big nasty ‘78 Eldorado with a 500ci V8 for $3K
‘63 Studebaker with a 289 and nice paint & interior for $5.5K (not sure why it has a salvage title and what that would mean for registering it in your area)

Sell the dubs and put maybe $1500 in reliability upgrades and you are on your way

that Studebaker is too nice for me lol, not sure how I feel about that Caddy

2 seater, but can hold 4 small adults in a pinch
, for a short while, provided that the people in the rear are little.

so I know it’s a bit outside your area of search, but it’s drastically cheaper than your budget

$5900
Swap in a Limited Slip differential from an SRT-8 model and bolt on one of these.
http://www.shophemi.com/p-2145-2005-08…
It’s a $7500 hit to the wallet, but they work well. And it’s a bolt-on that you can do in your garage, with no special tools. Add some exhaust work, and some new wheels/tires. Enjoy your sub-$15000, 500 hp, supercharged, reliable, easy-to-maintain, comfortable, spacious, great-sounding car. Perhaps not this particular example, but something like it.

The Camaro looks promising. It might be rotten from the floors but replacement steel is very well available.

It’s listed at 4k right now I’ll drop $500 bucks instantly for an OPPO. It would be cool to see it stay in the OPPO family.

Buy my 85 FB RX7. It’s from Georgia originally. Runs and drives just needs a carb rebuild. They came with 2+2 options so you could add a rear seat.

Rx7 turbo II.
Can get a super clean one for 7k. Plus it’s probably the best Japanese chassis of the 80's

I think you’ve mentioned wanting an S13 a few times - rougher, project examples are well below your budget (even a really clean one, i they still exist haha), and since every hard-parking drift bro modifies theirs, stock parts are generally cheap since not many people want to keep them original

I always did want to restore one from stance bro spec KA24 and all.

1976 Chevy G30 Pathfinder K-Van - $8500 (Marshall)

1 Porsche 914 project 1.8 - $1700 (NoVa)

you should ask “demon xanth” about the merits of corvairs................

this would be brilliant! finding a decent car to start with is hard though; everything I’ve found is beyond saving, or way overvalued....

924s with a little needed body work, but recently done clutch
https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/cto/576873…
944s - Not a project so much as just a nice freaking car from the ad. It’s an 80s Porsche so eventually something will be a project.

Yeah, every S13 worth saving is overpriced

luckily they are quick with a few minor upgrades. Also stock engines can hold lots of boost a built one it just insane.

I've got 2 cars for sale in WV (about 5 hours from DC Metro) that fit your bill. the Honda Prelude from the Save the Lude series found here: https://kinja.com/metallicaman02…
Im asking $1000 for it because I need it gone. unsure if it will pass NOVA Emissions because of age and 189K miles.
Also have a 1987 Plymouth Gran Fury 40K survivor needs tires and paint. rust free and straight. would need a new exhaust to pass emissions because someone removed the cat and there is a hole in the muffler. not enough to make it loud but you can hear it. 318 2bbl runs and drives great. Also $1000
Plymouth would make awesome cheap sleeper build since low miles and cheap hot rod parts plus RWD for maximum burnout action. Also not huge and expensive like other classics. seats 6. 5 comfortably.
Honda would make fun flingable FWD sports coupe project. Could go all out Fast and Furious or keep mostly stock and still have a fun economical car to play with

posted some pics for your consideration. also think of the money you could invest into having your ride being amazing just by the price of the vehicle alone!

I have a diecast model (well 2 actually) of that Plymouth, color and everything. One I turned into a replica of a friends enduro car, the other I kept because it’s a surprisingly nice model, and who has a model of that kind of car? I think it was a MotorMax.
